Hello, I'm Stephen Ross, Founder and CEO of Ross Insurance Brokers.

My journey into insurance didn't begin in a boardroom-it began with a calling to serve. Born and raised in New Zealand, I completed Bible college in Singapore with a focus on World Missions. My dream was to serve in Asia, but as a newly married husband, I knew I needed to first build a secure foundation for my family. In 1998, I was offered an opportunity to become an insurance agent-and that opportunity changed everything.

I quickly discovered I had a passion for helping people. Sitting with families, understanding their needs, and designing customized insurance solutions gave me more than just a career-it gave me purpose. That's when I realized insurance could be more than a job. It could be a ministry in the marketplace.

In 2002, my family relocated to Portland, Oregon, where I joined New York Life. It was during this time that I took Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University through our local church. That course was a turning point. Dave's principles reshaped my entire approach to personal finance-and business. I realized that too many families were overpaying for coverage or buying insurance they didn't need. I felt a strong conviction to bring clarity, value, and education to the insurance process.

So in 2003, I left New York Life and launched Ross Insurance Brokers Inc out of my garage, guided by the same financial values that Dave teaches. By 2007, we were officially incorporated and growing fast. In 2011, I became a Dave Ramsey Health Endorsed Local Provider (ELP)-a partnership that aligned perfectly with our mission: to give honest advice, provide smart value, and serve each family like our own.

Today, we are proud to be a Ramsey Trusted and licensed and helping families in in 24 states and counting. We have served over 16,000 fans of Ramsey fans since 2011. We continue to apply the Ramsey principles in every area of our business. Whether it's helping clients avoid over-insurance, comparing rates to find smart savings, or equipping families to protect their financial future, we do it all with integrity, wisdom, and heart.

In 2018, we transitioned operations from Portland to Denver, Colorado, allowing us to better serve clients nationwide while building a healthier rhythm for our team. In the years that followed, something very special happened-our family joined the mission. My daughter Grace came on board in 2021, and my son Joshua in 2022. Together, we're building a legacy of trust and protection for families across the country.
